But still it is all possible if you are willing to spend the time. Took me ages at the time of Cubase back then but when it was done it was nice but it is a lot of time where you actually don't make music. Once those are done and assigned to few banks you can then start create some mapped presets, instruments and such. Gain and pan should be the first thing if you want to integrate those parameters. Same goes for basic control such as panning. Let's say you know you usually working with 5 groups containing 16 sounds each it is 90 sound gains to assign only plus 5 groups level for group control. If you are willing to do the hard work you must make a plan for mapping.īest way I think would be to create a project template as a foundation. Looks like you'd have more fun with bitwig which seem to have a user friendly integration, or go for a komplete kontrol 25 which is well integrated with Maschine.
But still if you dig inhto midi all is possible but manual mapping takes time and a bit of knowledge. Maybe your are going into something tedious because there is not a great integration between the two.
The thing is it look like your device has great integration for all major daws but Maschine. The way around this is to use your bank of controller as you should be able to change controller pages from your controller The tricky thing is if you control several knobs to the same controller lets suppose your knob ID under cc40 they will all move at the same time. Then if you right click on the plug in and "save as" you can create a preset that you can recall and will be mapped to you controller.
Lets say you open the stock filter effect from maschine software you can in theorie midi learn the functions to your knobs. You on the opposite with a basic midi controller, you have to map your control for every device. The that is great with NI controller is that they are auto mapped so it switch automatically from an device to another without mapping anything. It is up to you to determin why you need to assign your knob to the controller.
